Security Substrate

Security substrates are required to ensure that a tamper evident label that has been affixed at the intended place by the brand is not removed intact with a mala fide intention of reuse on a fake product. We offer these substrates for all self adhesive holograms and filmic labels. These features can also be offered in the brand’s colour of choice.

Such labels will always leave a tell tale sign on the original place of label affixation, and Holoflex specializes in providing labels for tamper evidence on a wide range of surfaces. Some tamper evidence options that are available are as under:

• Full transfer: When the self adhesive label is tampered, only the clear film comes out and the holographic/printed information remains embedded, this making it impossible to remove any part of the hologram for reuse.
• Partial release – Checkerboard: When a self adhesive label is tampered, a checkerboard pattern can be seen on the label – imagine an entire image is broken into two parts like the black and white squares of a chess board, the black squares remain on the film in hand, and the White boxes remain on the product. The original image cannot be reconstructed again, thus making the label impossible to be reused after tampering.
• Partial release – Honeycomb: When such self adhesive label is tampered, a Honeycomb pattern can be seen on the label – imagine an entire image is broken into two parts – part of the image gets left behind on the product and the remaining part is on the film. The original image cannot be reconstructed again, thus making the label impossible to be reused after tampering
• Partial Release – Void: When a self adhesive hologram or non holographic label is tampered, a VOID pattern can be seen on the label – the entire image is broken into two parts – part of the image gets left behind on the product and the remaining part is on the film. The term Void appears on the film in hand and the product. The original image cannot be reconstructed again, thus making the label impossible to be reused after tampering.
• Partial release – Custom pattern: When a self adhesive label is tampered, the label can be designed to demonstrate a customized pattern instead of Void, Checkerboard or honeycomb, which are all standard patterns.
